Ford Airfield is a 350 hectare (865 acre) site lying between the villages of Yapton, Ford and Climping. The centre of the site is just over 3 miles (5 km) west of Littlehampton, 4 miles (7 km) to the north east of Bognor Regis, and just under 10 miles (16 km) east of Chichester. Ford Airfield can deliver a zero carbon community delivering:

• 5,000 new homes, of which 2,000 will be affordable homes meeting the widest possible range of needs - from affordable housing and starter homes to family houses and retirement housing;
• About 4,000 jobs in knowledge based industries such as cutting edge science, research and development, technology and light industrial in new business parks;
• New facilities such as shops, health clinic, a new secondary school, and community and sports facilities, including green space;
